OUR SUCCESS STORIES: Guest Room Management System (GRMS)
Gloria Serenity Resort (Türkiye / Antalya)

Integrated door lock system, lighting automation, thermostat system and Guest Room Management System (GRMS) solution managed from a single center for Gloria Serenity Resort.
Elekon's first project as Helvar distributor was the Gloria Serenity Resort, which was realized eighteen years ago. general area lighting automation It was a project. Elekon, implemented Helvar products for the first time in this project and has continued to provide service and maintenance to the facility from the first application to today. The complex, located in Belek, one of Antalya's most popular locations, has undergone its first major renovation in eighteen years. Gloria Serenity management also decided to implement a Guest Room Management System (GRMS) into their facility in this renovation project.
Elekon developed a model room that would serve as an example for the GRMS project and presented its sample project to the hotel management to undertake the GRMS project. After the hotel management liked the sample room Elekon took the project. Elekon and Helvar were determined as the main suppliers due to the flexibility of their systems, openness to expansion and sustainable technological infrastructure that has worked smoothly for years. The renovation included installing fully integrated lighting control, IP telephony, access control and guestroom management in every guest room, suite and villa, as well as all interior and exterior common areas.
As part of Gloria's GRMS project, Helvar 905 lighting router, dimmers, relays and curtain control modules were installed in each guest room and villa. 366 Helvar 905 Routers were initially applied to 250 rooms, 20 luxury suites and 92 villas with only traditional on/off feature. Although the router's capacity far exceeded what the rooms could possibly need, the application of the router into spaces proved a necessity for setting up independently functioning rooms. Statistical data on other Helvar products used in the project are as follows: 172 pieces of Helvar 910, 2 pieces of Helvar 920, 1 piece of Helvar ST7, 618 pieces of Helvar 490, 196 pieces of Helvar 494, 430 pieces of Helvar 498, 21 pieces of Helvar 454, 85 pieces of Helvar 455, 15 Helvar 452, 2649 Helvar 191x, 2951 Helvar 290B, 1458 Helvar 320, 671 Helvar 313, 414 Helvar 444, 60 Helvar 135w and 25 Helvar 314 Sensors.
After the renovation, the guest room automation and lighting automation in the common areas now contribute to saving up to ten times more energy than before.
We placed ILLUSTRIS panels at different locations in the guest rooms, such as near the beds and at the room entrance. The bathroom and general area each had two sensors installed. Subsequently, hotel management asked for a control panel to be added at the room entrance, along with a thermostat inside each room. As these items were not available from Helvar, we arranged for a Johnson Controls thermostat operating via LonWorks to be connected to the IP using a separate Lon line. This allowed each room's thermostat to operate independently.
We installed routers in each room and linked them to the IP. A DND panel created by Elekon's R&D unit was affixed to the door entrance, featuring three display buttons: Do Not Disturb, Cleaning Request Button, and Laundry. Additionally, there is a bell button on the panel with the room number which now has enhanced communication capabilities with the Helvar Router via DALI thanks to Elekon's R&D team efforts. With this integration of Johnson Controls and Elekon products, we have successfully completed the entire room setup.
We made the integration of the door lock system, hotel management system, lighting automation system and thermostat system manageable from a single center with Tridium software.
We've consolidated the integration of door lock systems, hotel management systems, Helvar lighting automation systems, and Johnson Controls thermostat systems into a single hub with Tridium software playing a crucial role. Through the use of various drivers such as Helvar driver for communication with Helvar, Lon driver for interaction with Johnson Controls thermostat, and Fidelio driver for connection to the Fidelio server, Tridium facilitates seamless coordination between these different components. Additionally, it provides access to the SQL database of the lock system. With this integrated setup in place, our system can effectively track room entry-exit patterns. For example, upon detecting a guest card during entry into a room, full management control is granted; however, if it's a housekeeping staff card being read instead , limited permissions are given along with minimal lighting necessary for energy conservation purposes during room cleaning activities.
We have set up the Helvar driver and Iridium software on an IP phone with a 7-inch screen in each room. The phone now includes controls for room settings, climate, curtains, as well as "Do Not Disturb" and "Room Cleaning." This convenient setup allows guests to easily manage all areas of their room via ILLUSTRIS panels or the touch screen of the IP phone.
Ease of Big Data Management in your businesses with GRMS
Thanks to the API we've developed with Tridium, hotel management has full control over our implemented system. With magnetic contacts on room entrance doors and presence sensors in the rooms and bathrooms, management can monitor room occupancy. When a door is opened or closed, the sensors instantly relay whether the room is occupied or not. If vacant, the system activates an energy-saving mode by turning off AC, closing curtains and switching off lights. When occupied, guest preferences take precedence for controlling the room. Additionally, this data can be accessed and managed through Elekon's DND panel.
We have added a discreet button behind the cleaning icon on our DND panel. When housekeeping staff press and hold this button before entering the room to provide service, it triggers a timer. Upon completing their tasks, when the staff presses the button again while leaving the room, our system registers how many minutes were spent preparing the room using Tridium technology.
The system's robust infrastructure delivers an abundance of big data to hotel management, covering a wide range of topics such as the availability of laundry services in rooms, room occupancy rates, and optimal room temperatures. This technical backbone equips hotel management with essential tools for effective data handling and beyond. For instance, upon a guest's departure, the system records the room temperature associated with the guest's room number using Fidelio traces and restores it to that level when the guest returns to the hotel.
The activation of the economical working mode when guests are not in their rooms enables businesses to achieve significant energy savings.
Gloria Serenity Resort consistently stands out by selecting top-tier expertise and extensive experience for their lighting automation and GRMS systems.
